CNN weighs in on who might take over Apple if Steve Jobs were to leave the post for any reason.
I have no idea, but I certainly hope that Jobs is leading Apple for a few more decades. My credit card is ready to buy all the things he hasn’t even thought of yet!

I love, love, love Japanese Game shows - they are so wacky and different. If I ever get to live in Japan I would probably get fired cause I would just watch TV all day long.
But now the secret is out, and there is an AMERICAN reality tv show about the Japanese game show:
Although we are all mostly focused on IPhone, Google had their Google I/O conference just before WWDC and they have posted all the Google I/O videos and slides online (for free).
If you are an iPhone developer you should really check out at least the Android videos, but all the talks are worth while.

The Japanese government, in an effort to encourage its populace to stay slim and trim, has started requiring companies to measure the waistlines of its employees. If the company can’t meet the goal of a slim workforce, penalties must be paid.
The standards are 33.5 inches for men and 35.4 inches for women. Think this would fly in North America?
“Under a national law that came into effect two months ago, companies and local governments must now measure the waistlines of Japanese people between the ages of 40 and 74 as part of their annual checkups. That represents more than 56 million waistlines, or about 44 percent of the entire population.Those exceeding government limits — 33.5 inches for men and 35.4 inches for women, which are identical to thresholds established in 2005 for Japan by the International Diabetes Federation as an easy guideline for identifying health risks — and having a weight-related ailment will be given dieting guidance if after three months they do not lose weight. If necessary, those people will be steered toward further re-education after six more months.”

Would Apple’s engineers and software developers be at a complete loss as to what to do next? Apple desperately needs Jobs like a blazing forest fire needs a match.”
